Somebody really important told me that there is a real possibility that heaven has the internet. They say they won’t allow them to receive emails up there but they do have high speed access to the worldwide web. So, just in case they are right, I figured the least I could do for them would be to post a picture of the three cutest girls this side of the Mississippi River.
I know of at least a few people by the last name of Newton and Goddard who are residents there who will jump on this site just as soon as I hit the publish button.
Ben Newton, who happens to be my nephew, somehow talked Elizabeth Howard into marrying him a few years ago. It was no doubt the best days work of his life.
I am absolutely positive they got married because I was there. And it was quite a shindig.
Ben and Liz met at the University of Georgia. Most people fall in love, get married and hope they become friends. Ben and Liz did it right. They were friends at UGA for a long time before they fell in love and got married.
As most couples do, after a couple of years of marriage, they decided they were ready to have a baby and start a family.
Unlike most couples, they had a litter instead.
And I’m glad they had the friendship thing going. God really does have a sense of humor. He knew they would need much more than passion when they would have three diapers to change at the same time in the middle of the night.
So Papa Joe, Maw Newton, Papa Ed and Nanny - as you are gathered around the heavenly computer, I just want you to know that little Ben turned out just fine.
He married his gorgeous best friend and they already have a beautiful family.
Mary Camp, Southerland and Ridley Newton are the cutest girls this side of the Mississippi River.
I know the four of you are very proud. I had to share with you.
Just in case.
