This will be short tonight but hopefully you will appreciate the rest of the story. A few days ago I wrote an article about my oldest son and daughter in law attempting to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. The beginning of their trip was horrific.
From the looks of these photos emailed to me today, the horrific beginning turned into a rather stunning celebration. Not only did David and Holly enjoy a romantic dinner on the beach for two on their last night but they had some serenading going on at the same time.
I couldn’t help but be reminded of my first wedding anniversary almost 30 years ago. Kathy and I were putting up groceries that evening at Goddard Red & White Grocery Store. The only serenading going on that night was the sound of the ink price stamper hitting the top of the English pea cans.
Times have definitely changed.
But when I saw these pictures I sure did smile. And I hope they are still doing this sort of thing 30 years from now.
More power to ‘em.

Bruce,
I almost choked on my water laughing when I read how you and Kathy spent your 1st anniversary--you have such a talent at describing situations!! I'm ashamed but I can't remember what Ed and I did on our 1st wedding anniversary!!! I agree with you about the kids, more power to them, what a way to celebrate.
Sue
I wonder what your son and daughter in law had for dinner?
Thought I would stop in and say hey. Hope everyone is doing well.
