I Wouldn't Have Told That Either

I just have to say it. I go in airport bathroom stalls all the time. And for the life of me I can’t figure out how anyone - whether heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual or trisexual would ever consider an airport bathroom stall as a place for a sexual encounter. Or any other encounter for that matter. Lord have mercy.

I’m in Baton Rouge tonight and I’m sure if I’m having a normal day I will have to stop by a stall at some point at the airport here in the morning before I get on the plane. But I can tell you I will make sure I am not tapping my foot. From what I read today that is the universal sign that you want a partner to join you in your stall.

Just in case you haven’t read the news today, the good Senator from the state of Idaho by the name of Larry Craig was caught recently with his pants down in a Minnesota airport (mug shot shown here). They say he patted his foot and rubbed his hand under the stall in an attempt to get someone in the next stall to join him in his stall. He even peeped through the crack according to reports. The problem was the guy he was soliciting was a plains clothes cop investigating lewd conduct complaints in the airport bathroom.

Before I offer any commentary on the very sick senator, I think I need to comment on the poor investigator who caught him. I wonder what in the world he did to get assigned that job? Can you imagine? “Honey, I’ll be back this afternoon. I’ll be in a stall in the men’s room today in the South terminal if you need me.”

That is not an easy way to make a living. I hope they are paying this poor guy big money.

Just for the record a bathroom stall in a busy airport is a place you endure for the shortest period of time you can make it. It doesn’t look good in there. It sure doesn’t smell good in there. And every time you enter one of the stalls you can bet your bottom dollar someone who just ate way too much just left.

It is just not a place a normal person would want to take a date.

From what I have read the senator from Idaho has been accused of such perversion in times past but has always escaped the allegations. This time he offered a guilty plea at the time he was arrested hoping it would be kept quiet I suppose. It didn’t stay quiet long enough. In fact it got pretty loud today.

Senator Craig held a news conference today with his wife at his side and vehemently denied the charges against him. After thinking about it I suppose he has determined he is not guilty after all.

I know it's not right to lie but if anybody ever needed to lie it is this senator.

I can promise you I wouldn’t have told that either.

I thought three taps of the foot meant "Please pass the sports page".

I laughed out loud at the comment from T.O. I think he would be better off taking his own sports page to the can with him.
