Coming Soon to a Theater Near You

I think the Bosnia couple who is in the news today has unknowingly written a script for a future romantic comedy. This one is about as bizarre as it gets. And it’s also about as funny as it gets.

Seems the couple met online in a chat room and after a few chats began to share their innermost thoughts with each other. And they had fairly catchy online names. The Prince of Joy was on his computer at work. Sweetie was in an internet café. They met in cyberspace everyday (at the same café – 6:30). You 50 something people will remember those words in parenthesis from an old song. Their chats included conversations of how little they thought of their current marriages.

As you might expect these two online chatters fell in love. The next thing you know they have arranged a real live meeting. They finally had found someone who really understood them and accepted them for who they were. Love straight from heaven.

I have actually known a couple of people who met their future wives in a chat room on the internet. One was a policeman. I’m not sure if that marriage worked or not. The other is a friend who has a great marriage and they now have a child. The point is love can definitely be found in a chat room.

"I thought I had found the love of my life. The way this Prince of Joy spoke to me, the things he wrote, the tenderness in every expression was something I had never had in my marriage,” explained Sweetie. The Prince of Joy said, "I was so happy to have found a woman who finally understood me.”

They arranged to meet outside of a shop. They would recognize each other because both Sweetie and the Prince would be carrying a single rose with them.

How romantic.

Everything worked perfectly until they saw each other. The Prince of Joy and Sweetie were husband and wife. Now they have both filed for divorce accusing the other of being unfaithful.

True story.

Look for this one coming soon to a theater near you.
