Where's Johnny Now?

"I'm O.J. Simpson. How am I going to think that I'm going to rob somebody and get away with it?" The Los Angeles Times may have just printed the quote of the century right there.

It would be fairly logical to think that if O.J. Simpson could get away with brutally butchering his wife to the point of decapitation he would think getting away with something as little as armed robbery would be a piece of cake.

For those of you who have not been reading your newspaper the last few days, Simpson does find himself in jail again. He says he and his thug friends entered a Las Vegas hotel room to reclaim his personal possessions. He doesn’t mention he reclaimed his possessions at gun point from a couple of sports memorabilia dealers. I wonder if the reason the sports memorabilia dealers still had the Simpson articles in their possession is because nobody would buy them at their show earlier that day. Is there anybody out there who gives a rat’s booty about O.J.’s football career at this point?

I sure don’t.

Simpson has now been charged with two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of burglary with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Interestingly, the other murder victim’s family was recently awarded rights to Simpson’s book, “If I Did It” because of the unpaid civil judgment they won in their wrongful death suit. The book is Simpson's way of telling the world how he committed the murders. And what was meant to line his pockets, proceeds from this book will go to the Ron Goldman Foundation of Justice.

Simpson is a piece of work and justice will eventually be served. I just hope the Goldman’s and the Brown’s get to witness it begin.

Where’s Johnny now?
