I saw a couple of interesting sights today that are worth sharing. Both pictures were taken with my cell phone.
This picture was taken while traveling at 60 miles per hour on the interstate this afternoon. The vehicle was driven by what looked to be an elderly lady. It got my attention because my mama used to have a station wagon exactly like this. I don’t really remember that vehicle but I’ve seen it in our old home 8 mm movies. This is a Country Sedan by Ford and I think it is a 1955 model. I’m sure there are some antique car experts who can confirm the year model. That means this car is one year less older than me. And she was driving it like it was brand new.
I couldn’t help but wonder if this car has been sitting in her carport for 53 years and she decided to take it out for a spin today. It looked like she just drove it off the new car lot.
The next scene was at a local sandwich shop today at lunch. My wife and I stopped by to get a bite to eat but we also got a chuckle. I’m not sure what the message is about on the back of this tee shirt but if it meant what I was thinking – 200 feet is not enough. (Click on picture to get a closer view).
And we were only at 15 feet. Scary thought.
Have a happy Sunday.
